My Plea to Fellow Americans

By Pastor Kevin Draganac

I am writing this today as a concerned minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and with a great love for my fellow Americans!

It is often with great sadness that I think of the millions of Americans that are passing off into eternity without God. As I read the scripture, I am constantly reminded that … “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). I think of my fellow countrymen (family, friends, classmates and acquaintances) that are already dead and gone and ask myself will they be waiting for me in heaven, or are they crying out in pain and torment in hell’s fire? How many of them accepted or rejected “the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John1:29)?

I speak with people every day about God and the bible, and am often posed with the question

About the heathen in foreign lands and what if they do not know Jesus … what will God do with them? I delight that folks are concerned with the souls of heathen in foreign lands, and while it is true that every soul in the world is important to God, let us consider those in our own country that have not trusted Jesus Christ as their savior … what will God do with them? The gospel of Jesus Christ has been faithfully preached in this country ever since the Pilgrim’s landed at Plymouth Rock! The same gospel that has been freely preached in American has been kept hidden in many countries whose leaders desire to keep their people in spiritual darkness. As Americans we have been abundantly blessed to hear the blessed gospel how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day so that we might have forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Unfortunately, our nation is rapidly moving away from its roots in the gospel and is embracing Satanism and other forms of ungodly meditation, and is moving down a path toward perdition.

My desire in writing this letter is to try and help turn this country back to God

And warn my fellow countrymen and women about the impending judgment that is coming to the soul that denies Jesus Christ as savior. According to God’s word, they will be cast “into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 22:13) … “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44). I shudder to think of person dying in their sins and going to hell! Imagine a place where the soul cries out in fiery torment and pain for a drop of water. Where the feelings of guilt and the shame of not accepting the savior plagues the condemned soul every moment for all eternity. There will be no end to the agony, there will be no rest and there will be no way to escape the damnation of hell. Oh, poor sinner, how many warnings do you need? How many times has God sent out a message to you that you are in trouble, but you refuse to heed his call? You say within yourself; I am ok, I have religion or I am a good person or maybe even that you do not believe that heaven and hell or even God for that matter exists at all! How foolish you are to let Satan deceive you into thinking that you will be able to step into the presence of Almighty God without first putting on his righteousness. Your righteousness is not enough! If it were, Christ would not have suffered and died on the cross … “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). Sadly, many see themselves in better condition than they really are, and do not see the error of their ways and the need for repentance from their sin. Sinful man needs to put himself next to Jesus Christ and ask, “how do I compare to him?” In 33 years, Jesus never sinned. How many of us can go even 33 minutes without sinning? Consider how many times in one day we commit a trespass against God! We are provided with a steady diet of temptations from sun up to sun down! It is everywhere we turn from billboards to magazines, television, radio, internet sites, etc., the list goes on and on!

Ever since our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned in the Garden of Eden

Man has been at enmity with God and God has been at enmity with man. Jesus Christ came as the one and only mediator that could restore the lost peace between God and man … “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” (I Timothy 2:5). Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6). Jesus Christ shed his blood upon the cross at Calvary to redeem you and wash away your sins … “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (I John 1:7). All you need to do is to repent of your sins and obey the scripture … “whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).

Accepting Jesus Christ as your savior will give you assurance of salvation

And confidence that you know where you are going when you die. The bible tells us … “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (I John 5:13).
When it comes to eternity there should be no surprises. For instance, one moment being alive on earth and the next moment the surprise of opening up your eyes in hell’s fire and knowing that hell was real after all. The surprise that the bible and all those “hell fire and damnation” preachers that warned you day and night were right after all too and the surprise that your good works and religion could not save you from this awful place.

Dear sinner friend … please, consider your lost condition and accept Jesus Christ as your savior.

All you need to do is pray a simple prayer like this … “Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you as a hell-deserving sinner in need of forgiveness. Lord, I know that I cannot save myself, please be merciful to me a sinner and forgive me of all my sins. I invite you now to come into my heart and save me from hell and take me to heaven whenever I die. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me! In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen”.

ow that you have received Jesus Christ as your saviour, go find a good King James Bible believing church

ead your bible, pray and witness to others about Jesus and walk in newness of life.
II Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” God bless you!
